Dark Apes: The Fate of Devolution

The main character wakes up in a mysterious hospital. He doesn't remember who he was. Now he must survive real madness. In his pocket is a handgun with 99 bullets and three different weapons - slow, but powerful shotgun, rifle with similar firepower and speed, and Tommy gun, with 30 bullets in magazines. Story in game is presented by comic book-like cutscenes.

Dark Apes is a low-budget horror FPS. The player character must fight apes, humanoid lizards and mutated nurses. The main task is finding and collecting the ten special crystals. Sometimes, boxes with ammunition, special binoculars and first aid kits can be find on the floor or shelves.

The game has only four levels - hospital, city, museum and island - and two difficulty modes. At the beginning the player fights against lone nurses, later opponents are present in larger quantities.
