Darius: Extra Version

Darius: Extra Version is an expanded standalone version of the Genesis port of Darius that was previously released in the SEGA Genesis Mini. Players can choose between the original boss count (11) or a boosted selection similar to Super Darius (26), with the extra taken from Darius II, which means no repetition of bosses. It features three game modes, "Old", "New" and "Extra" plus corresponding boss rush modes, which reflect different previously-released Darius arcade revisions.

• Old - The original Darius arcade game
• New - Tones down the boss health and minor adjustments to play
• Extra - Based on a Japan only release, alters enemy formations and balancing in general

Fixes in this standalone release include newly-updated audio with improved volume levels and better-quality sound effects, a continue option in the Extra mode and tweaks to gameplay.
