D-Fencer Vs. The Orb is a short, experimental bullet hell shoot 'em up.

When your player takes a hit it enters its "danger state", where its shots are narrower but more powerful, and taking another hit in this state means game over. You can recover from the danger state by destroying enemies or clearing boss bullet patterns, but recovery is slower the more hits you've taken.

In addition to your regular shots and bombs, your ship has a powerful Surge Weapon that lingers on screen and collects items, but using it overheats and temporarily weakens the main weapon. Destroyed enemies drop medals that increase in value the more are collected, but letting one drop off the screen resets the medal value. The game's difficulty auto-adjusts with its Pressure system, rising faster the better you score. There are two difficulty levels to choose from.
