Crypt Capers

Crypt Capers is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

One day, while studying ancient Egyptian ruins, the player discovers an unknown pyramid buried in the sands of the Sahara. Once inside, the player must try to collect all the treasures, including: statues, old jars, papyrus, and masks. On each level the goal is to gather all the keys and reach the exit door to the next level, while avoiding dangerous snakes, fireballs, and ghosts. The player moves in the cardinal directions, and can fire their gun forwards. Dangers appear in their chamber, and then roam the halls.

Each level must be completed before time runs out. The player starts with three lives, and receives an additional life for every 30,000 points or four levels completed. The goal is to reach the Pharos chamber on level 12.
