About

Crazy Cross is the first game in the Taisen Puzzle Dama series, and is a falling-block puzzle game that plays very similarly to Puyo Puyo: colored balls fall from the top of the well in pairs, and must be arranged and stacked by the player. If three or more of the same color touch, they will disappear from the board, causing any stacked on top to fall down into their place and potentially creating a combo. Clearing many balls at once will launch garbage balls at the opposing player, and each character has a different pattern for how garbage appears and what colors it consists of. Garbage balls will turn into regular balls after a ball in a neighboring space is cleared. If either player's stack reaches the top of their well, that player loses the round.

The game includes a single-player mode against a series of computer opponents with three difficulty options, as well as a two-player versus mode. A home conversion was released as Twinbee Taisen Puzzle Dama, which replaces all the graphics and music with characters and themes from the Twinbee series.
