Club Penguin Island

Club Penguin Island was a massively-multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) and the successor to Club Penguin. Players create a custom penguin character and then explore the persistent game world, participating in games, challenges and activities, or freely exploring or engaging other human-controlled characters. Players can create and customize their own igloo and have other players visit it. The character's clothing can be customized through the Customizer, with blueprints, fabrics, and decals in a constantly updated catalog where players can buy and sell items. The game was free-to-play with paid subscriptions for additional features such as clothing design options, the ability to buy party supplies, access to all adventures, daily challenges, the ability to use gear etc.

Typical activities are quests (adventures) that upon completion are rewarded with experience and items. The island is split up in different zones and mini-games include Marble Hunt, Ink or Swim, Fossil Four, Team Dance Battle, Tube racing, Sea Caves Race Course, Crate Co. Target Game, or Tilt-o-Tube. A large amount of activities and items are part of time limited events. The Island Live feature added in the 1.8 update added a phone to keep track of all game elements.

The game was closed on 20th December 2018.
