About

Celeste Classic is a short platformer originally written for the PICO-8 fantasy console. Players guide the character Celeste through several single-screen platformer environments that require fast and precise platform jumping mechanics including disappearing platforms as well as balloons and spikes. The character is able to jump, briefly hang on to walls and dash. Optionally pieces of fruit can be collected as an additional challenge.

The game is open source and moddable. It served as a prototype to the commercial Celeste and can also be unlocked there as a mini-game.
