Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal

When V.I.L.E captures Zack and Ivy and threatens to erase their memories, The Faculty order Carmen Sandiego to work for them in order to free her friends causing Carmen to hesitantly agree to work for her old teachers. As an interactive, it is up to the player to help coordinate Carmen's next moves before it is too late. Carmen is then sent around the world to retrieve certain items including a terracotta statue, caviar eggs and a tyrannosaurus rex bone.

To drive the story further, players make their own choices which can ultimately lead to different decisions being made and therefore spiral to a different ending which can either be good or bad. If one obeys and carries out the orders and choose the right options, players can receive the bonus ending which involves a bonus scene of the characters singing the Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? theme song.

As all choices lead to different endings, it is up to the player to make the right one or else Zack and Ivy lose their memories and are forced to be loyal to V.I.L.E. with one ending showing Carmen place under the control of her former organization.
