About

Capsule Silence XXIV is a video game featuring the electronic band Anamanaguchi, and in fact contains the release of their album by the same title. The frame story is that the game was part of a failed collaboration between the band and a company called NHX, and was released in an unfinished state after a falling-out between the two parties. The game initially presents itself as a sci-fi RPG/first-person shooter featuring an orphan protagonist named Larold, whose quest is to rescue the members of the band while also uncovering the secrets of his past. However, the player is soon presented with a fake debug console, from which they can access the true game.

The real game takes place in an enclosed world used by Anamanaguchi as their own private space. A robot called F.R.U.G. grants the player access and accompanies them throughout their exploration of the area. Most of the gameplay involves simply looking around and interacting with all the strange objects scattered around the game world. However, particularly keen-eyed players can find cassettes that each contain one of the tracks from the Capsule Silence XXIV album. These files can be exported for the player to add to their personal music collection.
