About

Bust-A-Move is the first appearance of the classic puzzle series on the iPhone. It offers a unique control scheme adapted to the platform and several game modes know from earlier entries, but with a unique set of levels.

Gameplay follows the standard model of the series: the player controls a catapult at the bottom of the screen that shoots randomly colored bubbles into the play field. When three or more bubbles of the same color touch, they are removed. The catapult can be controlled in two different ways: in Sling Shot mode, the catapult direction is manipulated directly, with a "pull back" motion used to launch. In Tap Shot mode, the catapult is aimed automatically by touching its targeted location on the screen, then touching the catapult to fire.

The included game modes are Story, Challenge and VS. Story mode consists of six worlds that series hero Bub traverses on a map. Each consists of several sub-stages which in turn consist of five puzzles to complete. The goal in each level is to clear the pre-set pattern of bubbles. Challenge mode is an unwinnable endless mode played for high score, in which new bubbles are continuously added from the top. VS mode is a two-player mode played via bluetooth connection. In this mode, popping many bubbles at once adds them to the opponent's play field.
