About
Brigade E5: New Jagged Union is the ideological successor to the Jagged Alliance series. The storyline and scripts were written by Shaun Lyng.
The game places the player in the small tropical country of Palinero which is on the verge of civil war. Your character will need to hire a team of mercenaries and decide which side he will support in combat for global domination.
New Jagged Union features a combat system called SPM (Smart Pause Mode) which is merged between the real-time and turn-based combat system. Each action here does not cost "action points" but just takes some time to execute.
The game also features over 100 accurately modeled firearms with a number of ammunition types. The multiplayer game can be played over LAN or TCP/IP with CTF, Deathmatch and Fortress gameplay play modes.
