About
Bogey Manor is a platform game that takes place across 40 haunted houses. The hero, a boy named Fritz, must destroy all the crystal balls in a stage while fighting back against the ghosts, Frankenstein's monsters, medusa, and other creatures who patrol the floors. Once all the crystal balls in a stage are destroyed, the house will begin to crumble, with Fritz needing to make it back to the level's start or else missing out on the points earned for clearing a house.
Fritz can defeat some enemies normally with a simple strike, but others most be spooked first. Even after being hit, some monsters will only be temporarily incapacitated, and spooking certain enemies too often can anger them and make them invulnerable for a time. Each house has four sides, represented by a compass at the top, and each side has four floors. To get between floors requires climbing staircases or popping into doorways that teleport you to a different floor. You can also sometimes enter a flashing door to get a power up, with Fritz gaining a superhero costume that makes him invincible, faster, and able to freely leap between floors.
Items can appear if you destroy the red crystal balls, such as one that will freeze all enemies in place for a time and one that can light up the houses that have dark floors.
