About

Blinx: The Time Sweeper is a single-player 3D platform game. The story follows Blinx, a feline time janitor employed by the Time Factory, an organization responsible for monitoring and repairing the flow of time across multiple worlds. When the Tom-Tom Gang, a group of pig-like thieves, begins stealing time crystals from World B1Q64 and kidnaps Princess Lena, time itself becomes unstable. With the fabric of reality in danger of collapsing, Blinx must venture into the corrupted world, defeat the monsters created by the stolen crystals, and restore the balance of time before it is too late.

Much of the gameplay revolves around navigating a series of linear stages where the player collects time crystals, defeats enemies, and clears obstacles. Blinx is armed with the Time Sweeper, a vacuum-like device that can suck up and launch trash as projectiles, as well as collect crystals and items. Four crystals are needed to form a “hand,” which grants access to time-control powers. These powers mirror familiar media functions: pause halts enemies and hazards, rewind reverses events, fast-forward speeds up movement and traps, slow reduces everything to a crawl, and record allows Blinx to create a time clone that repeats his actions. Crystals appear in multiple colors, and forming different combinations determines which powers can be activated. Score is tracked based on crystals collected, enemies defeated, and time remaining, with higher ranks rewarding more resources.

Stages are built around puzzle-platforming and combat that require creative use of time powers. For example, rewinding may rebuild a collapsed bridge, while recording can allow a clone to hold down a switch while the player passes through a gate. Enemies range from basic monsters to larger time-distorted bosses, all of which must be defeated or bypassed to reach the stage exit. Players are also bound by a strict time limit. The game includes over thirty stages spread across nine themed worlds, each with distinct visual styles such as ruins, factories, and caves distorted by time anomalies.
