About
Bio-Defense is a 1 - 2 player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.
The player searches a human body for infection, and then controls a white blood cell to gobble up bacteria. Gameplay is divided into 2 parts. In the first, the player searches a human body divided into a grid, attempting to find an area of high infection. The patient's temperate and heart rate are displayed on the screen. After finding the infection, the player enters an arcade sequence where they move a white blood cell around a maze trying to gobble up the bacteria. Different-sized rod-like structures temporarily slow the player down if they come in contact. If too many contact the player the patient's temperature increases. There are 4 levels of difficulty, as determined by the patient's starting temperature .
