About
Big Brain Wolf is an animated third-person adventure game with a warped sense of humour. You play as "Wolf" - while he may look like a traditional fairy tale character, Wolf is asthmatic, vegetarian and out of shape. Rather than chasing and eating things, Wolf prefers mental stimulation. The plot is a twist on the normal fairy tale mechanic, where the normal villains are turned into heroes and vice versa.
Scattered throughout the game, and essential to progress through the story, are around 60 puzzles and 6 brain training exercises, developed by neuroscientists from Brain Center International. The game has a relatively basic interface, with 2D animation, limited inventory, and a hint system provided by your bipolar companion Genie. In order to recharge the hint system, you have to undergo further brain training exercises. Despite the cartoony graphics, the game is more aimed at teenagers and adults than young children, as some of the puzzles can actually be quite challenging, and some of the humor would likely be missed by younger players.
