Beyond the Red Line

Beyond the Red Line is a standalone total conversion modification of Freespace 2 based on the 2004 reboot of the science fiction television series Battlestar Galactica. Players assume the role of either a Colonial Viper pilot or a Cylon raider tasked with shooting down their enemies in a variety of first-person missions set in space. The demo includes three single-player missions which take place before the TV episode Scar, expanding on that episode's events, in addition to multiplayer Deathmatch and Team vs. Team modes.

Only a demo of Beyond the Red Line was ever released. Development was impacted after creative differences with the project manager caused the majority of the team to leave to start work on a new BSG-themed Freespace 2 mod called Diaspora: Shattered Armistice instead. Although development of Beyond the Red Line continued beyond this split, a full version of the game never materialized.
