Besieger

When Korin, rightful king of the Cimmerians sets on a quest to find a fabled magic sword, his sister Mara sees her chance and seizes power with her dark magic. Vikings that live nearby hear of this and fear an attack. Therefore they send out some warriors on a quest to find Thor's hammer. They set out on a flying ship, only to be shot down and see Mara's forces destroy their capital.

Besieger is a real-time strategy game where it is up to the player to find Thor's hammer and set things straight again as the vikings, fight as the Cimmerians or play as the returning Korin in three different single player campaigns. It is also possible to fight in loose skirmish battles with up to 9 AI opponents or players on the internet. Different skirmish modes include Deathmatch (where the last surviving player wins), Artifact (win by conquering enemy artifacts), Siege and Battle. In Siege, one player receives a fortress to defend while another player must lay siege on it. This game mode doesn't feature resource management and unit training. In Battle mode this is also the case. Players have to make do with the units given to them at the start of the skirmish. The Deathmatch and Artifact modes make use of a traditional RTS game system with construction buildings, training units and fighting the enemy to cripple his unit production.

Like Warcraft III the game features hero units who have special abilities and are extra strong.
