Battlefield 3: Armored Kill

Battlefield 3: Armored Kill is the third expansion pack for Battlefield 3. This expansion highlights BF3 strength in vehicle combat with emphasis on large scale landscape tank battles. As with previous expansions four additional large tank battle maps are included.

New Tank Superiority game mode is a variation on Conquest where only one flag is at the center of the map. Each team works to control that flag to increase ticket drain on the enemy to win the round. Each team’s base has two tanks along with six of the new vehicle tank destroyers allowing 16 vehicles hammering it out for control. In addition another new vehicle added is mobile artillery which launches high-explosive rockets great distances.

Another new concept introduced is the AC-130 Spectre gunship with one team controlling this powerful airborne weapons platform. To use the gunship a team must control the associated control point during Conquest matches and in Rush matches the attacking team always has access to a gunship. It has lethal close ground support weapons with a 25mm cannon, 105mm cannon and anti-aircraft turrets along with IR Flares to handle incoming missiles. It slowly circles the battlefield and also allows for spawn point paratroop drops from the team controlling it.
