About
Ballistik is a single-player 3D brick-breaking arcade-style game, similar to that of Breakout.
The game presents a series of stages built around large three-dimensional brick formations positioned across the upper portion of the screen. The player controls a paddle located at the bottom of the playfield and must use it to keep one or more balls in motion while gradually destroying the entire brick structure. Each stage is cleared by eliminating every brick in the layout without losing all available balls.
Gameplay follows the traditional brick-breaker formula, with the ball bouncing off walls, bricks, and the paddle. When the ball strikes a brick, the brick is removed and points are awarded. If the ball passes beyond the paddle and falls off the bottom of the screen, one life is lost. The player begins with a limited number of balls, and the game ends when all are exhausted. As stages progress, brick patterns become more elaborate and may incorporate layered structures, unusual shapes, or denser arrangements that require careful angle control.
Power-ups and penalty items are released from certain bricks when destroyed. These items fall vertically toward the paddle and activate when collected. Beneficial power-ups can extend the paddle’s width, slow the speed of the ball, increase the size of the ball, or provide multi-ball effects. Other enhancements introduce special weapons such as fireballs, rockets, or explosive projectiles that allow bricks to be destroyed more rapidly or in clusters. Penalty pickups can shorten the paddle, increase ball speed, shrink the ball, or remove one of the remaining lives, requiring players to quickly decide whether to intercept or avoid falling items.
The three-dimensional presentation distinguishes the game visually from flat brick-breaker variants. Brick walls are rendered with depth and perspective, and some stages use layered or staggered constructions that change how rebounds behave. Despite the added visual dimension, paddle movement remains confined to horizontal control along the bottom of the screen, keeping the core mechanics accessible and consistent.
Progression is linear, with each completed stage leading directly to the next. There are no alternate modes, narrative elements, or character customization systems. Scoring is based on bricks destroyed, power-ups collected, and stage completion.
