Astrobatics

Astrobatics is a space scrolling shoot 'em up. Like in many other games of its type, the player controls a spaceship and flies right, blasting enemy ships and avoiding their attacks. The ship's shields are depleted by collisions with enemies and enemy missiles, and the player loses a life when the shields run out. Enemies include both smaller enemy ships and powerful bosses with health bars.

The ship is initially armed with a weak gun, but bonus items can be picked up which improve the player's firepower, attach additional weaponry, or grant special limited-use items such as mines, homing missiles etc. The player's gun charges when not firing for a while, and when fully charged it can shoot a powerful laser beam.
