About

Arslān Senki (The Heroic Legend of Arslān) is a turn-based strategy game based on the novel series and anime of the same title created by Yoshiki Tanaka, which is loosely based on the famous Persian legend of Amir Arsalan. The story follows the events of the anime OVA closely, with the player controlling the 14-year-old prince Arslan and his companions as they fight to protect the kingdom of Palse from the invading Lusitanian army.

The game is divided into chapters representing major battles from the original story, with animated and voiced cutscenes between them to drive the story forward. It plays similarly to other strategy titles such as Fire Emblem, with the player and the computer taking turns commanding their individual troops on a grid-based map. Each battle has specific win and lose conditions that dictate when a given scenario ends.
