About

Armageddon Empires is a turn-based science fiction strategy game with cards. In the year 2025, Earth makes contact with two warring alien factions. The aliens turn the planet into a thermonuclear furnace and leave it after 20 years for another war front. The game takes place 300 years later, on what is left of Earth.

The game features four different factions: humans that survived the Armageddon, mutated humans, the Machine Empire, and Xenopods (the latter two being the remnants of the aforementioned alien empires). Each faction features unique sets of cards which determine which units, heroes, facilities and attacks can be performed during the game.

Like in Magic: The Gathering, each player has a deck which determines the actions they can perform during a turn. The cards come completely free, so no additional expenses have to be made to buy extra cards. Unlike Magic, Armageddon Empires also features a hexagonal map which shows the location of facilities and units. When units enter the hexagon of an enemy unit, combat initiates. Combat is resolved by clicking on cards of units in the battle to activate their abilities.
