Amazing Alex

Amazing Alex is a physics based puzzle game that is similar to the Incredible Machine and Crazy Machines series in that it involves creating chain reactions by building various Rube Goldberg machines. The game is a reworked version of Casey's Contraptions, an earlier iOS game released in 2011 that was acquired by developer Rovio Entertainment. Most of the game is largely the same although some changes have been made. This includes some new graphics with a new look and name for the titular character. All levels from the original game are included but new ones have also been added.

The gameplay involves creating chain reactions by placing various objects on the screen. For each level there is an objective that the player has to complete. This includes making balls hit certain targets (like a basket), release balloons and make structures collapse. Once the player is happy with the placement of the objects he presses the play button and the physics engine will take care of the rest. In addition to the objective, there are three stars that can be collected and which will affect the player's rating. The game comes with a level editor and by completing chapters more items to use in it are earned.
