About
Amaranthine Voyage: The Tree of Life begins with the player dreaming about the Tree of Life. But in the dream evil red wisps of light appear to be attacking the tree in anger. You awake from the dream unsure if you are still sleeping or not to find yourself aboard a grand zeppelin. As in your dream you now realize the zeppelin is also under attack by the very same red wisps of light. Returning from a recent archaeological expedition you found a strange artifact or orb that appears now to be pulsing in response to the attacks on the airship. The attacks have trapped you in your cabin which you must escape. During the attack the airship is pulled into an alternate time dimension. Entering this new realm the airship crashes where you must now help the inhabitants defend the Tree of Life.
The adventure integrates live motion video actors into story events blending them into various elements which the player will interact. The interface and game mechanics provide a hybrid approach of on screen movement touch points, puzzles and hidden-object search style game play. Objects collected in inventory at the bottom of the screen require the player to drop or drag them onto other items in the scenes to activate or complete needed tasks or puzzle solutions. Hidden object scenes are somewhat traditional with word objects at the bottom. Some objects must be combined or opened in the scene to be found and are indicated by different colored text.
