Ways of War is the fifth major add-on for Age of Wonders 4, and includes:
- the Ogrekin and the Simians racial templates
- the Oathsworn culture with three subcultures (Oath of Harmony, Oath of Righteousness and Oath of Strife)
- ancient creatures (Creatures of Prosperity and Creatures of Calamity)
- 3 new mounts: Graceful Judge, Blessed Dragon and White Warg
- four new tomes: Tome of the Discipline, Tome of Shades, Tome of Calamity and Tome of Prosperity
- Intrigue Happenings event system
- new music tracks
- new world map locations, pre-made rulers and realm template
- new themed interface skin
