About

Tara is an apprentice enchantress that must find a series of magical tarot cards with the help of a talking peacock. The cards open portals to other realms, where the two companions must travel to collect the rest of the deck.

Age of Oracles: Tara's Journey is a hidden object game with adventure elements. The game has three distinct sections that must be played in sequence for each realm. In the first one, the objective is to drag and drop a series of objects from the bottom tray to their counterpart on a grayed out screen representing one of the locations. The second section is a traditional search-and-find game, where all the entries from a list at the bottom have to be located and collected on scenes filled with scattered objects. The last section is the adventure portion, where the tray becomes an inventory and the goal is to drag and drop objects from it to logical parts of the scenery to solve puzzles. The game shows a series of clues as subtitles over the interactive hotspots to help the player.

Mini-games occur at the beginning and end of each realm. Some are implementations of classic games very common to the genre, like jigsaw puzzles, mahjong and concentration memory challenges, along with more original and complex ones where the player has to fit pentominoes pieces on small boxes. The peacock is the hint button, unfurling from its resting place and flying towards one of the required objects when activated.
