Actorle

Actorle is a Wordle variant that tasks the player with guessing the identity of an actor. The game gives the users eight attempts; the user types in a name and the game will auto-populate a list of matches. The player then selects the name they want and the game either tells them if it's correct or not. To assist the user the game prints a list of movies that actor has appeared in, but with all the characters in the title blanked out and only the year and genre listed clearly. If a player's guess was present in one of the films listed on the page, that movie title will be revealed. The game's data is pulled from IMDb, and each day's game will not include every single movie from an actor's or actress's filmography. Like other Wordle-inspired titles, the game allows users to copy and paste their results to social media.
