About

In the 25th century, Earth is gone and humanity has spread throughout the galaxy, living in space stations and colonies, and exploring planets to search for the resources needed to continue life. However, these descendants of Earth known as Noah have encountered a strange and unknown threat from the deepest depths of space known as Chaos. To fight back against Chaos, a battleship called Will has launched to attack and destroy Chaos's home base. The future of the Noah rests upon Will and its crew.

10101: "Will" the Starship is a sci-fi space opera RPG where the player takes the role of the captain of the eponymous starship. The game consists of two main modes: exploration and combat. During exploration, the player controls the ship from a top-down view; the ship is always moving forward, and can be rotated to change its direction in order to explore the region. Combat is viewed from a first-person perspective and takes an action shooter form in the vein of Star Raiders, with the player actively aiming and firing their weapons at enemy craft.

Virtually all actions, such as moving the ship, firing the weapons, or recharging the shields, requires energy. If either the ship's shields or energy is depleted to zero, the game is over. Energy can be recharged at space stations throughout each map for a fee, and the player must explore to find resources and parts to upgrade their ship. Story events are shown through visual-novel style illustrated scenes.
